I am an experienced vegetable and livestock farmer with nearly a decade of hands-on farming in the Sammamish Valley. I am currently seeking 2 to 15 acres in King, Snohomish, or Pierce County for a mixed vegetable and seasonal pig operation. My focus is on growing market garden crops (greens, roots, & fruits) for direct-to-consumer markets. I have also raised feeder pigs on pasture and plan to continue with a pastured pork enterprise, and eventually expand to raising other livestock in a rotational grazing system on the right piece of land.My background includes:
• managing 4.2 acres of shared farmland for a nonprofit that supported from 2 to 8 farmers annually
• serving on groups that have supported developing and implementing King County comprehensive farm plans
• running my own diversified operation since 2020
• studies in Sustainable Agriculture through the Wendell Berry Farming Program, where I deepened my commitment to ecologically sound, community-based farming
