Description:
We are a beginning farmer family rooted in Sammamish, with roots in farming and community vision. Our journey back to agriculture began during COVID, when questions of food quality and freshness became personal. Most vegetables available to us were neither organic nor truly fresh, and we started asking how to solve this problem. That search led us to farms, conversations, and eventually to our own leased half-acre in Carnation.For the past two years, we have been growing Indian and Southeast Asian vegetables. These crops that connect us to our heritage and serve the needs of our community. With guidance from fellow farmers and participation in the SnoValley Tilth's Experience Farming Project, we have re-learned, adapted, and found a good market for our produce. Last year’s yield was strong, and this year’s has been even better.
Currently, we are seeking 5 to 10 acres in or around Carnation, Fall City, or Duvall. We are open to lease, lease-to-own, purchase, or land share opportunities.
What matters most to us is farmland that can support:
- Road access and parking for a U-Pick vegetable operation
- Expansion of our current vegetable production
- A welcoming space for our Sammamish and Bothell community to connect with fresh food
- Access to water
- Storage or the possibility to bring our own shed would be great, but not a deal breaker
Our vision is to grow culturally meaningful vegetables, to make them accessible, and to create a farm that is both productive and a gathering place.
