We are an established farm business in the Snoqualmie Valley. We are active on our current leasehold and are seeking additional workspace to support our growing operations. Our farm is diverse and includes educational programming, pastured livestock production, and value added services.
We are looking for a small site to lease for a state licensed poultry processing unit. The unit is fully contained within a shipping container and is used only for processing. No animals are kept on site. This listing is one of two because we are seeking land to house two separate farm enterprises. One is the WSDA processing unit. The other is our pastured pork and chicken operation.
Please note, once we have had a conversation and established trust, I am open to sharing profit and loss statements and providing a landowner reference.
In July of 2021 we began the process of funding and building a WSDA poultry processing unit to serve low volume farmers in our region. Through community support, a successful kickstarter campaign, a WSDA Local Food Infrastructure Grant, personal investment, and the generous contributions of friends, we were able to complete this project. The unit now operates as a pay per bird poultry and rabbit processing service for farmers who wish to sell their products. We also offer educational opportunities for homesteaders and community members who want to learn how to raise and process their own food. Our goal is to support the next generation of farmers by sharing skills and resources. We have completed two successful seasons and continue to collaborate with farms raising poultry in the community.
