Description:Hi there! I grew up in a small town in Enfield, CT which is surprisingly a huge farm town, especially for tobacco. Fun fact, my grandmother worked on the tobacco farms nearby until she was 80! God Bless her, she's 96 now and has always been one of my favorite people and biggest inspirations. Nearby where I grew up was plenty of U-pick/ pick-your-own Strawberries, Blueberries, Apples and so on. We had a neighbor with a mini farm stand with an honor system. I have lived the city life for half my life now, 20 years. I miss the simple life, being connected with nature. I have been dreaming for years now of having my own Homestead that Ultimately is a Pilar of the Community. I look forward to getting to know and being involved with other local farmers. I have been looking into agriculture schools and programs. My dream ranges from my own little 5 acre compound to a 100+ acre compound that will continue to grow and evolve to support and benefit the local community. I am open to the opportunity of a Co-op/land share. I look forward to providing local employment. I understand how valuable it would be to have someone by my side who knows the land and is a fountain of knowledge and wisdom. I love the idea of a farm stand and fun seasonal community activities that bring people together for a fun and joyous experience. I have always loved working with my hands, creating something from "nothing", watching things grow, even in the construction world. I have worked in customer service for 30 years and I have managed over 100 units of remodels/new construction as a project manager and designer. I have minimal to no interest in subdivision/development at this time but I am excited to create my new home, build some barns and to build community and to help others achieve the same along the way. I know I have a lot to learn and I am eager to learn it. I am currently a Licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of Washington, as I learn more about agricultural lands, I would love to play a key role in supporting the farming community. I truly believe that for a long time farmland was looked over, but I also see is an awakening in people that it's time to get back to our roots, to have healthy control and contribution to healthier foods. I think we need it now more than ever and I am excited to learn more and to ultimately play a bigger role in the story and mission of bringing farms to farmers and educating people on how its all possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
