Description:Seeking 5 acres or more with housing anywhere in Washington, preferably Western region.
Single father of 17 year old girl. Seeking small farm with possible housing 5 acres or more. I have two, one year old heifers I plan to implant with wagyu embryos.
I am 48 from Colorado. I would like to start a small Wagyu cattle herd in Washington with my daughter. I have worked at a commercial cattle feed yard for 8 years. I would prefer to raise grass fed organic Wagyu. Grass fed at minimum.
I was responsible for day to day upkeep of a 20000 head cattle feedyard in Colorado for 8 years. I was responsible for animal health and treatments of sick animals. I took care of basic maintenance of 9 houses on the yard. I currently have two yearling heifers. I will be implanting waygu embryos into in October. I would like to raise and sell 20 head per year within the next five years. A usda first time rancher loan is possible.
I want to start with a replacement Wagyu program to fund the farm to start. I am going to apply for a USDA first time rancher loan to expand eventually becoming a farm to market ranch.
