My husband and I have a small-scale peri-urban enterprise focused mainly on raising heritage light draft horses intended for agricultural use. We also grow vegetables for home use and are launching into floriculture this upcoming season. Our ideal market audiences are either CSA, Farmstand, or potentially farmers markets. We are looking for about 5-20 acres for a combination of grazing and row crop production. We aim for sustainable/organic practices whenever possible, specifically companion cropping/permaculture promotion.
We have extensive experience in equine management/heritage breeding and are looking into horse-training for holistic herd management/integrated agricultural production.
Housing and outbuildings a definite plus, or the option to bring in our own temporary structures (poly tunnels, greenhouse, livestock shelter, etc) and possibly temporary housing for ourselves for more efficient land management would be helpful, but not a requirement. Year-round water access a must.

Ideally looking for a lease-to-own/transition to sale opportunity, although flexible with year to year leasing. We have had consistent farming income for the last four years going into our fifth year now, and steady employment outside of farming.
