New homestead farmer family looking to find land with housing or rv hookups. We are open to living off-site if you are significantly close to a Thousand Trails location. Two adults, two children, and our farm animals. Looking for any area from Bellingham to Chehalis, but land will need to be under an hour from a major city (Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville areas, Seattle, Mount Vernon, Everett) for my husband as he is a carpenter and most jobs are out there.I have experience with breeding meat rabbits although it has been quite a few years since doing it.
Main goals: chickens and ducks for eggs and meat, pigs (currently growing potbelly), goats, possibly a family milk cow, fodder and fermenting food, growing crops for feed, gardening heirloom vegetables. Would love to continue education opportunities and learn more about sustainable food fermentation production if any potential opportunities were to present themselves.
We are currently on a fairly steep sloped half acre, so we are open to and capable of working with the land in a way that can utilize space and keep it in its most natural state.
