Land Description:
We have a 40-acre farm in the Orting Valley, on the banks of the Puyallup River. Soil is a mix of sandy loam and loam. 25 acres are leased to a conventional grower. The rest of the tillable land has been certified organic for the last 13 years. There are several acres of fallow ground, plus 1/2 acre each of rhubarb and asparagus and 1 acre of sunchokes. All of part of the land can be leased. Possible housing arrangements can be made, including bringing your own RV/tiny home and potential future rental of the farmhouse on the property. There is a shelter on the property that could be used as a wash/pack station, cooler, etc. with electricity and potable water. No bathroom available currently, renter would have to acquire a port-a-potty or bring a compost toilet. There is the possibility to lease tractor time on our tractor. Current tenant rents for $600/acre/year with water, but lease rate is negotiable depending on the arrangement and needs. Would prefer a farmer with experience. Year-to-year lease to start.Current Uses:
