Hello, I am an aspiring first generation farmer. I am planning on a rotational grazing system for raising hair sheep for both breeding stock and meat production. I intend to start with a small 10 head sheep herd and grow from there. My grazing paddocks would be moved every 1-3 days to minimize the animal impact on the soil and to also allow proper rest time in-between grazing's. If enough land is available, I would also like to raise heritage pasture pigs. I have been researching these animals and their grazing needs and feed requirements as well as how to rotational graze from sources like Heifer Ranch USA, Joel Salatin and Temple Grandin, as well as my family who have a Cattle Ranch in California.Farm Business Type:
