Description:
First generation farmer looking to use my skillsets in regenerative agriculture to provide the local community and families with nutritious, healthy food that has a positive impact on our climate, culture, and ecology. Seeking a lease option to implement a diversified livestock operation using the principles of holistic management and an adaptive intensive rotational grazing system with direct to consumer sales. Emphasis would be on biodiversity of wildlife, livestock animals, and perennial plant species, healthy living soils, and water hydrology. A proposed farm management plan would be considerate of the aforementioned aspects while designing a system that works with the land geography, climate and other social and cultural conditions. I have previously worked for a pastured pig and poultry farm in Snohomish County that also sold vegetables direct to consumer and at Farmer's Markets in the Seattle area. I spent the following year working for a raw milk dairy and grass-fed beef operation near Salt Lake City, where I managed and operated the pastured poultry enterprise. Currently I am an apprentice for a regenerative cow-calf operation on the Front Range of Colorado, as part of the New Agrarian Program facilitated through the Quivira Coalition.
