Description:I’m 44 year old carpenter and farmer with a varied background. Farming on and off since 2005, mostly as a laborer and as my carpentry skills developed through on the job training as well as my hobby of boatbuilding, have had the chance to do several farm infrastructure carpentry projects in the state of Washington.
Recently have been focusing on the carpentry in order to stay closer to my children whose mother passed, getting lots of help with them from grandparents now and would love to take the opportunity to get back into the occupation that gives my life purpose (other than family, that gives my life purpose too).
Anyway, my last farming stint was at Tonnemaker hill farm (organic orchard) in Royal City, Wa.from 6/2020 until 10/2020, where I worked on the irrigation, drive the tractor, fixed the tractor, managed carpentry projects, etc. A live-on-site farm maintenance and tractor guy.
My dream is to maintain and operate a small orchard or portion of an orchard on someone’s land that they don’t have the time/energy to focus on, or with some organization start a small orchard.
