For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of building and managing Baldwin Farm, a 200 acre regenerative educational and production farm, at Camp Twin Lakes, a camp serving children with serious disabilities, illnesses, and life challenges in rural Georgia. I have substantial experience in all aspects of working and managing animal (wagyu/angus grass-fed beef, laying hens, goats, and alpacas) and vegetable production (organic till and no-till, greenhouse, high tunnel) as well as developing farm based educational programming for 10,000+ visitors each year. I've seen the profound positive impact that producing with regenerative practices can offer an ecosystem and the wonderful impact and partnerships a farm can bring to a community. After a decade of encouraging campers to expand their comfort zones and take on new challenges, I decided to confront my own comfort zone and face new challenges; first by driving from Georgia to Alaska to spend the summer managing a popular primitive campground in the Chugach National Forest, and next, to re-learn agriculture in a new region and to use my farm management and agritourism skills to make a positive impact on a new community.Farm Business Type:
