Kristin: 5 seasons experience on organic veggie farm (row crops etc). 3 seasons experience on pasture raised meat farms. Ran a small farm for a few years in Oregon but land was sold and lease dissolved early. Passionate about farming and community. Business minded and realistic about the challenges of farm life. Lots of references available.John: Marine Corps active duty, getting out of the military next year and training to become an election. Very calm and loves animals. Hardworking, handy, and careful. Minimal farming experience, but committed to a humble life on the land.
The Mason family is looking for our forever farm and home. We are down to earth, simple, yet hard working people. We don’t get up to much trouble (drinking, drugs, etc) and both have clean criminal histories. We have one kid and hope for a few more! Our vision is a pasture raised meat business with a small family garden.
We are looking to meet farmers, connect with the community, and possibly find the right fit. We understand a good match will take time because only time will reveal someone’s true character. We are ready to put in a few years working with a farmer for a successful land transition. Looking to eventually purchase.
