Hello! My name is Tyler, and I am seeking agricultural land in hopes of beginning my career in sustainable, organic agriculture. My passion for agriculture began with a small garden plot behind my apartment building, 4 grow bags, and a love of spicy food. In 2021 I set out to grow some extremely spicy peppers. I spent countless hours researching everything from pepper seed germination and seedling care to harvesting. My time spent researching peppers quickly expanded as I started learning more and more about various other crops, flowers, basic botany, and various forms of economic and ecological methods of farming. Much of my current agricultural knowledge has come to me in the form of books and YouTube.

I am currently looking to lease land, however, I would not be opposed to a lease-to-buy situation or property purchase down the line if the fit is right. That being said, I would like to live where I am farming if at all possible. All that said, considering I am still completely new to farming as a business, I am also open to an incubator plot/internship situation if you are just looking for extra help from someone hungry to learn more from an experienced farmer/crew.

My plan is to operate a market vegetable garden following an organic, No-Dig/No-Till system, with potential for a rotating flock of layer hens for eggs as well as soil fertilization. Additionally, I would like to explore and experiment with both traditional hot composting, as well as vermicomposting.

Dependent on the the amount of available acreage (and time), I would love to expand into rotationally grazed pasture livestock, agroforestry, multigenerational seed saving, and implementation of other forms of permaculture designs as I become more confident in my abilities.
