Description:
I have 6 years of farming experience. Since 2016, I have farmed several small scale organic vegetable operations in Western WA and in British Columbia. I have experience managing a family farm's presence at our local farmers' market, helping 2 farms undergo the USDA organic certification process, and at least 4 seasons in the field propagating, cover cropping, crop rotating, harvesting, and preparing harvest for market, CSA, and local wholesale.

My ideal farm would be somewhere between 3 and 20 acres with water (well/river/pond) and healthy soils. I will need some storage, but am also happy to build it myself. It would be great to have some fencing, although I am willing to bring what I need. I need access to electricity, as well.

Despite multiple professional pursuits in the realm of sustainability and education, I can't stay away from farming. It is in my blood, in my lineage, in my educational and personal history, and deeply imbedded in the answer to the question why am I alive. Farming is a way of life for me. I studied agroecology in undergrad, and recently was accepted into University of Montana's Masters of Sustainable Food and Farming program this fall, although I've realized that I'd rather get back into the soil than spend more years in academia. I do love both farming and education, with a background as an elementary teacher and environmental educator, and my dream is to operate a regenerative farm (regenerating the soil, the ecosystem, and the community) that is also an educational tool.

I am young and passionate and eager to connect with folks who care to see their land transition into the hands of someone who cares about stewarding it.

I would prefer a site with housing, although I can provide my own tiny house, if necessary.
