Description:
I'm interested in purchasing, leasing or sharing land in Northwest Washington.

In 2019 I completed the Farmer Training Program at the University of Vermont. The Farmer Training Program is a hands-on, six-month program focused on regenerative agriculture, food production and food systems. I worked collaboratively with other students to manage all aspects of the 10-acre farm. We grew 40 different vegetables and fruits, ran a 100-person CSA and managed a weekly farmers market stand. During this time I also lived on a 10-acre farm where I raised chickens and bees and grew corn, peppers and tomatoes.

The Farmer Training Program program inspired me to start my own food business, Little Earth Tortillas on Lopez Island (learn.uvm.edu/foodsystemsblog/2019/12/11/farmer-training-certificate-brandon-chase). In 2020 I sold 5,000 packs of tortillas all within the San Juan Islands. I partnered with five grocery stores, two food trucks and the Lopez food bank (instagram.com/littleearthtortillas)

I live in an apartment in Bellingham and work remotely for a solar energy company. I'm looking to make a transition back to a more land-based lifestyle, farming, producing food and being actively engaged in the local community.
