I was born and raised in Washington State, and grew up frequenting my grandparents (mostly hobby) farm in Lewis County. I have experience with haying, gardening, raising livestock (poultry, cattle, sheep, horses), and have had introductory training in horse farming and logging. I also have tractor experience. My wife grew up gardening with her family (of 16) and has fruit, vegetable, and flower farming experience. My wife and I know that we want to live rurally, and farm to some degree, but have had difficulty finding a property well-suited to do so that comes at a somewhat affordable cost. Currently, we live in a suburban area, where I am a career firefighter/EMT; I do not plan on firefighting indefinitely, and am considering the idea of transitioning to farming. We are open to various locations, depending upon individual properties, and are also open to different types of farming. I have a B.A. in Sustainable Urban Development, am a passionate conservationist, and am interested in working land in a profitable but responsible way.Farm Business Type:
