We are looking to lease 4 acres of our 6 acre property to a local King County farmer. We currently operate a pumpkin patch on the property (SnoValley Pumpkins), but no longer have time to commit to the agricultural operation. Lease will be available from November 1st, 2023 onwards. The tillable area is 4 acres and another 2 acres is set aside for grass parking for our river tubing operation that operates June-September. There is a fence that runs across the property dividing these two areas. Onsite storage is available (multiple shipping containers) and you can add temporary structures as permitted by zoning codes (greenhouse etc).There is a Farm Stand with electricity and water. Plenty of parking available for customers of the stand, although it might get limited on warm summer weekends due to the volume of customers at the tubing business.
We have used municipal water for years, but have been offered water rights being next to the Snoqualmie River (although a well would be required).
We aren't looking to make a killing off the lease, but to get time back to commit to other things. We are prepared to offer a low priced lease to farm the 4 acres in exchange for landscaping management of the parking area. This includes mowing the area throughout the Spring and Summer (maybe in the Fall too depending on grass growth), weedwacking the fence lines, and controlling growth of blackberries around the storage containers.
